Qing Dynasty wood sculpture of Guanyin

Chongqing's Yunyang County unearthed on Oct. 10 a wood sculpture of
Guanyin, the goddess of mercy in Buddhism, produced in the early Qing
Dynasty (1616-1911). This lifelike sculpture is most fantastic in its
vivacity and very valuable for studying folk arts in the Qing Dynasty.
