300 sets of hand-printed and thread binding "Complete Library in the Four
Branches of Literature," China's largest publication project of thread
binding books ever, were all completed on July 28, 2005, after four years
of efforts. Part of these books will appear in the Cross-strait Book Fair
and will be on display in Xiamen for the first time.

A preview exhibition of the first Cross-strait Book Fair was held in
Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center on July 28, 2005.
In this exhibition, books from Taiwan participated in on-the-spot sales
in the mainland for the first time in 18 years. Industry insiders
predicted that this year Taiwan's book volume entering mainland market
will grow more than 40% over last year.
