Chinanews, Beijing, Apr.18 (By Wei Xi) - China Achievements Exhibition
for Intellectual Property Protection opened in Beijing on April 16. It
was the first time for China to host a large-scale exhibition for
protection of intellectual property rights (IPR).
Facing repeated US criticism of China's IPR protection, China is
adjusting its previous policy of keeping silent. It has not only made
counterattacks against unreasonable criticism, but also actively
explained to the US its resolution and measures in IPR protection.
This high-level exhibition was jointly organized by 11 Chinese
authorities. The Ministry of Information Industry, the Supreme People's
Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and 15 key regions involved in
special IPR protection campaigns participated in the exhibition.
The exhibition set up sections for government authorities, different
regions and enterprises to showcase China's IPR protection achievements
in recent years. Models of Long March carrier rocket series and the
Shenzhou VI spacecraft independently developed by the China Aerospace
Science and Technology Corporation were also on display at the exhibition.
The exhibition will last eight days and close on April 23.
