To show off the "Chongqing ethnic costumes" dressed by mayors from
various countries participating in the 2005 Asia Pacific Cities Summit
hosted by the city, Chongqing Department Store displayed in many of its
shopping malls "Chongqing ethnic costumes" priced from several hundred
yuan to several thousand yuan on Oct. 24. Numerous citizens showed great
interest in these costumes and fought to try them on and order
tailor-made ones.
