1% census going smoothly in Beijing

Staffs of the census team led by Mr. Liu, Director of Beixiaguan office
of Beijing's Haidian District visited the residents, beginning the
national 1% census for the households in this community on Nov. 2, 2005.
This national census is another important large-scale census after
China's fifth census in 2000. The census started from Nov. 1st and aims
to find out changes in China's population, structure and habitations
since 2000, and to study future trend of China's population.
